Here are our regular and upcoming events, including quiz nights, music, darts and various celebrations. If you want to book a private party or community event, either phone or email us to book.
Quiz Nights
Wednesdays @ 8PM
No need to book ahead, just turn up and have some fun. There are questions fit for everyone, although consider yourself warned that many regular attendees are fiercely competitive. £2 per person to participate and all proceeds go to charity.
Music
As Advertised
While there are no specific upcoming gigs planned, The Ship Inn often hosts Portloe's music scene.
Once gigs are put in the calendar, they'll also appear here, so keep a close eye out.
Saint Piran's Day
5 March
St Piran's Day is Cornwall's national day, celebrating the patron saint of Cornwall - St Piran himself. St Piran was an Irish saint who survived being tied to a mill stone and thrown to sea, eventually arriving on a Cornish beach.
The Ship Inn celebrates with Mary's Pasties and saffron cake, so come join for a local feast.
Darts & Board Games
Anytime
The Ship Inn has a dart board and arrows for anyone who wishes to try their hand at darts. However, please phone ahead as there may not be the space to play if the pub is full.
There are also a few board games, if you want something a bit more stationary.
