St Piran's Day
Celebrations with Mary’s Pasties and Saffron Cake - all washed down with Cornish ales and a drop of whatever you fancy. Another cracking evening at The Ship Inn. And for those of you not in the know, Saint Piran's Day, or the Feast of Saint Piran, is the national day of Cornwall, held on 5th March every year. The day is named after one of the patron saints of Cornwall, Saint Piran, who is also the patron saint of tin miners. Source: Wikipedia
